Sydney Hood, RCSWI
I am passionate about creating a supportive and welcoming environment where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered throughout their healing journey. I believe therapy is most effective when it is collaborative, personalized, and grounded in trust, compassion, and genuine connection.
I have experience working with individuals across the lifespan, helping clients navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, and emotional stressors. I am especially passionate about working with veterans, military families, individuals, and couples. My background includes supporting veterans with PTSD and trauma-related concerns, helping them build resilience, develop effective coping skills, and process difficult experiences.
I utilize an integrative, evidence-based approach, drawing from Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Strengths-Based Therapy, and Animal-Assisted Therapy. Alongside my therapy dog, Jax, I strive to create a comfortable and supportive space where clients feel at ease and engaged in the therapeutic process.
My goal is to help clients strengthen emotional well-being, improve relationships, and navigate life’s challenges with confidence. I believe each person brings unique strengths to therapy, and I am committed to helping clients recognize and build upon those strengths to create meaningful, lasting change.
