Sean M. Kennedy, MA, CMHC, RMHCI

Sean is a mental health counselor in St. Augustine, Florida. As an advocate and practitioner of Positive Psychology, he is more concerned about his client’s strengths than their weaknesses. Taking a strengths-based approach, Sean helps his clients focus and build upon the spirit and resilience that have helped them overcome and move forward in life. Sean believes that purpose and meaning are fundamental to living a fulfilling life, and he aims to lead people in this process of discovery. With gentle guidance, Sean helps his clients discover their sense of agency and self-determination, and then move from imagining change to executing it. Goals are a significant part of this process. Sean wants to know about his client’s goals, and then co-create a plan for achieving them.

By taking a proactive approach with our mental and emotional health, Sean believes that each of us can become stronger, healthier and more resilient. He is committed to helping his clients achieve this. In his view, physical and mental health are intimately related and cannot be disconnected. However, we need to be preemptive and preventative with our mental, physical and emotional health. By doing so, we can become stronger, healthier and more adaptable.

In addition to his work as a mental health counselor, Sean is also a Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach.
