About Grounded Practice Counseling
Grounded Practice was founded by Abby Mury in 2024 to serve our Floridians with top-notch mental health services. Our aim is to be a fully-encompassing outpatient therapy center that serves a wide range of mental health needs.
The healing process can seem like a long and painful journey. Having an experienced professional can make all the difference. Grounded Practice employs licensed therapists and interns who take a non-judgmental approach to the therapeutic process. As therapists, we believe that addressing the root causes of problems can help alleviate many mental health symptoms and lead to a more connected and fulfilling life. We love working with people while they navigate life’s challenges. We feel extremely grateful that we get to do this work and witness our neighbors heal.

I've been lucky enough to work with her for many years now and would not be where I am today without her support. She is a great listener, encourages me to grow, and helps me understand so much. She inspired me to become a LCSW myself in the hopes I can be just as helpful and supportive to someone else as she has been for me. I feel very grateful to be able to work with her. Debbie WhitfieldTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Abby is a daughter, a student, a partner, a mother, and a therapist. With these experiences and an extensive and continuing education in the field, she brings an informed and balanced perspective to her clients. She helped me face my challenges: being in the Sandwich generation between aging parents and millennial children, the trauma of a difficult childhood and divorce, and significant health issues. Always ready with a helpful question to prod my thinking, a suggestion of a book or website, or a technique, including behavioral therapy, Abby led me through many sessions with compassion and insight. She once let me scream into a pillow so loudly that I’m sure the noise machines struggled to contain my anguish while she sat beside me with soothing comfort and respect. Abby is a gifted member of the highest order in the profession of therapeutic counseling, and I feel so lucky that our paths crossed in my journey of mental wellness. She is a 10 star therapist and a stellar professional and I will be forever truly grateful for her expertise and kindness. bernadette kellyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
